The UK Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) has created a new marketing committee with leading industry executives, to raise awareness of key initiatives
London, UK, 4 September 2019: The International Advertising Association (IAA) UK Chapter has confirmed its new marketing committee, comprising a range of industry experts, to promote the work of the trade body and its focus on nurturing and developing talent.
The creation of the marketing committee, headed by Fran Cowan VP Marketing IAA UK and newly appointed Director of Advertiser Marketing at Twitch, follows the IAA’s 80th anniversary last year and global re-brand. The committee, all of whom are volunteers, includes:
Fern Potter, Managing Director, Neo Media World
David Pugh-Jones, CMO, LIFElabs.io
Victoria Ryan, Associate Director, Content Partnerships, Initiative UK
Raquel Bubar, Executive Director, T Brand Studio International, The New York Times
Samir Chabab, Head of International, Marketing & Communications, Index Exchange
Elle Panes, DDaT Head of Communications & Engagement, Department for International Trade
Victoria Usher, Founder & CEO, GingerMay
Graham Alexander, Marketing Director, UK & Netherlands, Teads
Christine Ely, Account Manager, Harvard
Established in 1938, the IAA is the international trade body for the advertising industry, with chapters all over the world run by experts who volunteer their efforts. In the UK, there is a particular focus on nurturing and developing talent throughout the lifespan of a career; from Speed Mentoring events and IAA’s highly regarded residential training course PAC, to senior business lunches and executive training – as well as the Summer Ball and Christmas Lunch. The body prides itself with being in tune with industry needs, and future developments include plans to create a forum for mental health issues.
Fran Cowan, VP Marketing, IAA UK, commented: “We have an amazing team of experts lined up for our new marketing committee and I can’t wait to get started. The IAA plays an integral role in the international ad industry, representing agencies, brand owners, and publishers. The formation of the committee will help to further extend our reach and enable our members to share valuable insights, advice, and knowledge, while promoting our work to the wider industry.”
