Duo of deals for Marshall’s Mill

Two organisations have signed leases for space in Marshall’s Mill on The Round Foundry and Marshall’s Mill estate.

Digital advertising software provider Simplicity Marketing TA Flashtalking and creative agency StormBrands have both agreed leases at the property.

The move means the opening of their first Leeds office for international creative agency StormBrands, which provides branding and design services. The agency is moving their current Yorkshire office from Elland to the city-centre for better access to talent as well as other amenities on the estate. They also look to be a part of the creative hub in the area. Along with their new Leeds base, StormBrands has offices in Hong Kong and London.

Bruce Drinkwater, CEO at StormBrands commented, “Many exciting organisations are relocating to Leeds. It felt like the right time for us to be immersed in the buzz and positive energy of this Northern powerhouse city,”

Flashtalking was incubated by Round Foundry Media Centre before taking space in Marshall’s Mill in 2013 and resigning again this year. Flashtalking spans the globe with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Leeds, Cologne, Hamburg, Amsterdam, and Sydney. It is the leading global independent primary ad server and analytics technology company using data to personalize advertising in real-time, independently analysing ad effectiveness and enabling optimization that drives better engagement and return on spend for sophisticated global brands.

Duren Dexter, Managing Director of Technology at Flashtalking commented: “We are very happy to be located in Marshalls Mill and enjoy being fully involved with the tight knit Leeds technology community which continues to be one of the fastest growing in the country.”

The Grade II mill complex is increasingly an attractive place to work for creative and digital organisations, with easy access to the town centre and situated just a few minutes’ walk from Leeds station. It is also situated in the hub of the South Bank redevelopment programme.

Paul Taylor of Creative Space Management commented: “It’s fantastic to see these two TMT occupiers committing to Marshall’s Mill, in the heart of an established community of creative and digital businesses which we are sure will be of benefit to them.”

The lettings were facilitated by Creative Space Management acting as joint agents with Knight Frank.
