Simon’s Ready to Support
Local man, Simon Urch, from Crewe, has landed his dream job in IT with family-owned Swansway Motor Group.
The business is launching a new IT support desk to help their teams across 20 locations and Simon will be the friendly voice at the end of the phone and he’s delighted with his new role, “My previous roles have been providing frontline assistance to the public firstly in Virgin Megastores where I was able to put my passion for music to good use and latterly working for Virgin Media in-store explaining their broadband, TV and mobile services to potential customers.
“I really enjoyed helping customers, but wanted to pursue my long-term interest in IT, so, I studied for and passed my IT certification exams and set about looking for an IT job where I could use all my skills…and here I am”, added Simon.
“This is the perfect job for me, combining supporting and helping all Swansway IT team members who use our IT. I hope to make the IT Service Desk a friendly and approachable resource, here to help everyone with their IT gremlins”, he added.
Award-winning Swansway Motor Group, which has its Head Office in Crewe, employs over 1,300 people many of whom rely on its IT systems, so, the Group is the process of increasing and strengthening its IT support function.
