Clinical Lead Nurse Nominated for Multiple Awards

Agency nursing provider Local Care Force is celebrating after its Senior Regional Lead Clinical Nurse, Amelia Greenwood, has been shortlisted for two awards at this years Great British Care Awards (GBCA).

Amelia is in the running for The Care Innovator Award in the GBCA North West Awards – the category recognises exceptional entrepreneurial skills in identifying, developing, implementing and establishing a new service, administrative system, or the launch of a new product. The nomination is for Local Care Forces ‘Address Your Stress’ and Agency Workers ‘Protect Yourselves Protect Your Patients’ projects.

She has also been recognised in the Yorkshire and Humberside GBCA in The Frontline Leaders Award category. This will be awarded to an individual who is committed to improving the delivery of care and support within their team and who has shown great leadership qualities.

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and celebrate excellence across the care sector. The 21 award categories pay tribute to healthcare individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

The duo of nominations come hot on the heels of a series of other recent wins for the business, which include being named Nursing Agency of the Year at the Corporate Livewire Prestige Awards. LCF MD Leanne Silverwood also scooped Business Woman of the Year at the2nd English Women’s Awards-North 2019 earlier this year, and Local Care Force also received the honour of being the only agency to ever to be inducted into the Royal Collage of Nursing library of best practice, as the gold standard for agency Nursing.

On the nominations, Amelia added; “I am so honoured to be shortlilsted – the team works incredibly hard and we are focused on being innovative and forward thinking to grow the business and support our team, nurses and care workers.”

Local Care Force was established in 2004 and has offices in Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester; It supplies workers to the nursing, healthcare and social care sectors. As the preferred partner to many large private, public and charitable organizations, it also supplies to private hospitals including Nuffield and Spire and a number of prisons. It has just under 50 employees and over 1800 temporary and permanent workers.
