Jim Hennon named as site manager for new homes development in Wimborne

Barratt Homes has appointed Jim Hennon as senior site manager for its Quarter Jack Park development - a brand new community in Wimborne Minster.

Hailing from just across the county border in Hampshire, Jim is overseeing construction for the 224 Barratt Homes properties at the site, working closely with all those involved in the process - including subcontractors and suppliers. Meanwhile Kieran Stanborough is overseeing the construction of the 77 David Wilson Homes properties at Quarter Jack Park.

Jim is no stranger to construction projects in Dorset, having worked on the conversion of several waterfront restaurants in Bournemouth in a previous role.

He has been working within the industry for more than 35 years – 12 of which with Barratt Homes – and says one of his priorities is to lay the groundwork not only for bricks and mortar but for a close-knit community.

“This is a wonderful development to work on, and I know the whole team here is proud of what we’re accomplishing,” says Lyndhurst-born Jim. “From the layout and mix of different house types across the site, to our location - close to the beautiful south coast and New Forest - I couldn’t have asked for a better design and setting.

“Getting to know our customers is an important part of my job, and sharing in their excitement about moving here is particularly satisfying.

“Having worked with Barratt Homes for the past 12 years, working my way through different roles, I’ve developed an understanding for all aspects of the construction process - and it’s standing me in good stead at Quarter Jack Park. Work on these new homes is progressing well, and I’m eager to see it progress towards completion.”
