Property consultants let open-plan office in Harrogate to e-commerce specialists
National property consultancy Carter Jonas has let 2,250 sq ft (209 sq m) of refurbished office accommodation at Town Centre House in Harrogate to e-commerce specialist 9xb.
Town Centre House is a commercial building occupying a prime town centre location at the junction between Cheltenham Parade and Cheltenham Crescent.
It is connected by road and rail and benefits from proximity to amenities in the area including the Harrogate International Conference Centre.
Due to ongoing expansion, 9xb has let the second floor of Town Centre House - making it the local business’s second location in the region alongside its central Leeds office.
Chris Hartnell, associate partner at Carter Jonas, said: “Harrogate continues to have an acute shortage of office accommodation, and demand is especially concentrated in the sub-3,000 sq ft or sub-278 sq m market - with competition among local SMEs increasing for space.
“As such, tenants can find it challenging when it comes to managing their real estate requirements.
“Given these factors, we are proud to have let Town Centre House to 9xb - it represents a rare opportunity for the e-commerce specialist to take advantage of all the town centre has to offer for a booming business.”
The workspace has been refurbished to provide an open-plan workspace. Coming off the back of a consistent period of company growth - during which the business achieved overall growth of 30 per cent and increased its headcount by 24 per cent - it welcomed the move to more purpose-built premises.
Rob Burns, 9xb’s managing director, added: “Harrogate has been 9xb’s home since its inception in 2004, and we’re delighted we’ve found a new, modern space that accommodates our growing team.
“With companies continuing to invest heavily in e-commerce, and looking for alternative, more flexible solutions, 9xb is in a fantastic place to capitalise on the continued growth of online, and we look forward to doing it from our new office.”
