Barratt Developments Yorkshire East raises £63,000 for The Sepsis Trust
Five-star housebuilder Barratt Developments Yorkshire East, has raised an impressive £63,000 in support of its charity of the year for 2019, The UK Sepsis Trust, in honour of the division’s former Managing Director, Paul Newman whose career with the housebuilder spanned over 30 years.
Almost 400 guests gathered at York Racecourse on Friday 13th September for ‘The Red Ball’, the first charity event of its kind hosted by the local housebuilder to raise funds and awareness for The UK Sepsis Trust. Charitable donations were raised through ticket and table sales, a raffle, and a charity auction, which included prizes ranging from a signed Manchester United shirt to a helicopter ride.
The UK Sepsis Trust’s core mission is to save lives from sepsis, and improve outcomes for survivors - a cause of special significance to everyone at Barratt Developments Yorkshire East.
Daniel Smith, Managing Director of Barratt Developments Yorkshire East, commented: “I would like to extend my gratitude to each and every individual who attended The Red Ball, with a special thanks to the charity committee who organised such a special night; as well as all of our suppliers, sub-contractors, consultants, solicitors, land agents and fellow house builders who supported the event. We are delighted to have raised such an amazing sum of money for a charity very close to our hearts. I look forward to future fundraising events where I hope to see even more invaluable funds raised.”
