John Pye shortlisted for multiple national awards

The UK’s largest auction house, John Pye, is hoping to retain its title of Asset Valuer/Auctioneer of the Year for the fifth consecutive year after being shortlisted in a total of four categories at the UK Turnaround, Restructuring and Insolvency (TRI) Awards 2019.

The annual TRI Awards – which are independently judged by a panel of leading industry professionals and celebrated distinguished business leaders – recognise and celebrate excellent practice and best value in turnaround, corporate restructuring and insolvency nationwide.

Alongside the Asset Valuer/Auctioneer of the Year category, the company has been shortlisted for three other accolades, including Best Technology Provider – a new category for 2019 that recognizes businesses that have successfully enhanced their operations and service through the development and implementation of technology.

The national auctioneer has also been shortlisted for the second consecutive year for Property Valuation Provider, which the John Pye Property team won in 2018 when the judges were impressed by their ability to manage complex cases, offer supporting strategies and deliver optimum value to stakeholders. Since its launched in 2013, John Pye Property has grown to cover residential property, commercial property and land, selling through its monthly online auctions and estate agency.

Rounding off the company’s shortlist is business assets valuer Ben Ernstzen, who has been nominated for the Rising Star Award, which celebrates exceptional candidates with less than five years’ experience in the turnaround and restructuring industry. Since joining John Pye Auctions back in May 2018 as a trainee valuer, Ben has progressed quickly, receiving his NAVA accreditations in February this year and becoming the fastest accredited valuer in John Pye history.

The company, which celebrated its 50th anniversary and reported record-breaking growth in 2018, made history last year when it won the Asset Valuer/Auctioneer of the Year award for the fourth time.

Adam Pye, managing director of John Pye Auctions, said: “Myself and the team are very proud to have been shortlisted in four categories this year, including the Asset Valuer/Auctioneer of the Year for the fifth consecutive time. We continue to go from strength to strength and our award-winning track record helps to cement us as leading experts in the industry.

“It is fantastic to have one of our business assets team members nominated for the prestigious Rising Star category as well – Ben has worked very hard to reach this stage, and we are pleased that everyone who joins our team is able to develop their career skills with us.

“These distinguished awards bring together impressive UK companies and to be recognized alongside other notable brands is testament to the great work of our team.”

With more than 1,000 online auctions held each year for a vast range of stock and assets; from furniture, homeware, technology, appliances, plant, machinery, property and luxury goods, John Pye has grown to operate six trading departments across 22 UK sites.
