Barnsley developer completes major work on Hull retail park
Businesses have begun moving into a new Hull retail park developed and completed by Barnsley-based commercial property contractor, Priority Space.
The 10-unit development at Monks Way Retail park, located between Kingswood and Bransholme in Hull, will open later this month, with talks of a national family pub restaurant chain occupying the remaining land ongoing.
One Stop, Norwood Veterinary Group, Michaela Adams Barbers, a bakery, beauticians and two takeaways have begun preparations to open their stores, which have been designed by Priority Space to be consistent with existing surroundings and in line with community demand.
Priority Space delivers commercial property regeneration schemes across the UK, working closely with local authorities and government agencies.
Adam Richardson, co-director at Priority Space, said: “We are delighted to welcome businesses onto the site and hope this will be a real boost for the local area, providing a vibrant place where people can work, shop and meet.”
The project at Monks Way has been delivered in partnership with Hull City Council, and will be neighbored by a 1,700-strong housing development from property consortium, KSHP.
Zoe Clarvis, agency surveyor at Garness Jones, one of the joint marketing agents, added: “We are proud to be a part of this development. It will be a great asset to the local area. With many units now let to a variety of businesses, it will cater for all.”
