New Cambridge team for Eddisons building and project consultancy team
Eddisons, the Leeds-based national firm of building surveyors and commercial property advisers, has expanded its South East operations with the addition of a three-strong Cambridge team to its building and project consultancy division.
Gary Benn, Andrew Kent and Ryan Lambert have all joined the firm from the Cambridge office of building consultant Ingleton Wood.
The new team builds on Eddisons’ growing presence in education and the wider public sector, which saw the firm secure more than £20m funding for 50 schools across the UK in the Government’s latest round of Condition Improvement Fund annoucements earlier this year. More recently the firm was also appointed to the Homes England Framework, designed to help speed up housebuilding across the country.
Mr Benn’s role at Ingleton Wood was as a senior associate building surveyor with a focus on securing funding for education sector clients. Mr Lambert and Mr Kent are both building surveyors, also with experience in working on improvement projects for schools and colleges.
The new Eddisons team will initially be based out of Barker Storey Matthews (BSM)‘s Huntingdon offices until new Cambridge premises are secured. Eddison acquired BSM, one of Eastern England’s largest chartered surveying firms, in April this year.
Eddisons partner and national head of building and project consultancy Ian Harrington said: “These are exciting times for the team as we expand our scope and geographical coverage. Our industry-leading work in the education sector will now have an even greater geographical reach and expertise, and with Gary, Andrew and Ryan on board we will gain further leverage in both public and private sector markets.”
Head of business development Jenny Fram said: “Eddisons is going from strength to strength and growing rapidly as a firm. With our new Cambridge team in place we are looking forward to developing relationships with clients across East Anglia and the South East.”
Eddisons is a multi-disciplinary firm of chartered surveyors. Established in 1844, it operates across the UK.
