Property developer in Leeds expands with new Brewery Wharf HQ

A property business has become the latest company to expand into contemporary office space at Brewery Wharf in Leeds city centre.

North Property Group specialises in central apartment sales, lettings and investment opportunities across Leeds, as well as marketing residential investments in Manchester and Liverpool.

The company has relocated into 1,200 sq ft of open plan space at One Brewery Wharf, which forms a key part of the mixed-use waterfront development that is owned and operated by real estate investment and development company, Rushbond Group.

The office space was marketed by Leeds property consultants WSB.

Richard Baker, from Rushbond, said: “North Property Group is an ambitious and expanding company, which makes it a great addition to Brewery Wharf.

“We’re currently investing heavily in the development’s office space and will be releasing two more newly refurbished and distinctive suites in the coming months, covering 2,500 sq ft and 8,000 sq ft.

“Both will be fabulous places to work with the very highest specification levels and enjoy a stunning waterfront setting.”

North Property Group was founded by Oli Banks and Tim Coen in June 2017 and now employs a 12-strong team. It is on target to more than treble its turnover in its third financial year to around £3m.

Managing director, Oli Banks, explained: “From a standing start just over two years ago, we have grown rapidly and established a solid reputation for advising on off-plan apartment sales to both new and seasoned investors.

“These are often opportunities that we’ve identified that are under market value and will offer attractive yields of more than 8 per cent, as well as strong capital growth potential, due to the regeneration and investment taking place in the surrounding area.

“We then let and manage these properties, within our extensive rental portfolio, which is more than 97 per cent occupied. In addition, we also operate a highly successful sales division, which appeals to clients who decide to cash in or refresh their portfolios.”

Oli believes that Leeds city centre’s residential market is currently ‘booming’, having recently begun marketing investment opportunities at Green Quarter which will consist of 86 apartments to be completed in 2020.

More than 60 per cent of the scheme has already been sold.

Brewery Wharf was one of Leeds city centre’s first true mixed-use developments. It offers workspaces, apartments, a convenience store and a hotel, along with public sculptures set within the streets and spaces.
