Irish entrepreneurs set to disrupt music discovery with new platform launch in October
A new digital music platform is set to launch next Tuesday (October 1).
Co-founded by Zach Miller-Frankel and Neil Dunne, Andrson was thought up by the duo whilst studying at university in Dublin. The up-and-coming music platform has been borne out of the pair’s inefficiencies working in music discovery and artists and repertoire (A&R).
Zach and Neil are now aiming to close the gap between A&R and record labels, which are responsible for talent scouting and the commercial development of recording artists.
The platform is currently in its startup phase and will aim to connect the industry to artists and enable better music discovery.
Andrson will officially launch on October 1. Around 30,000 musicians are said to be poised to join in the first few months. Andrson has recently secured €430k of seed funding, having already raised €150k from sources including an Irish angel investor.
The platform is a subscription-based app that aims to close the gap between A&R spend and the search for new talent.
Co-founder Zach comes from a decade of experience in the music industry and artist management, and has worked with artists such as Philip Glass, The National, and The Antlers.
Meanwhile, co-founder Neil is CIO of Andrson and holds a marketing undergraduate degree from IADT. Entrepreneurs. He has also worked in the music industry since 2016 and has been awarded a spot as one of Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur.
