'Luxury' retail complex in North Yorkshire expands offering with Carter Towler deal

Leeds-headquartered Carter Towler is to market and manage The Courtyard in North Yorkshire.

The Courtyard is a high-end, rural retail site on the A65, south of Settle. It comprises a 4,669 sq ft complex which sits within a one acre site consisting of seven retail and leisure units.

The current farm buildings are currently occupied by furniture company Dalesbred; fabric and accessories manufacturer Abraham Moon; beauty salon Bellezza Dentra and The Brasserie Restaurant.

The chartered surveyors have taken responsibility for managing the properties and the needs of the current tenants as well as identifying additional occupiers for the two vacant units.

James Skirrow, property management surveyor at Carter Towler, said: “The Courtyard is a thriving retail and leisure development; we are thrilled to have been appointed to look after it by its owners the Murphy Family Trust & J B Whittaker SIPP.

“The old barns have been totally transformed and are now thriving with activity again. As well as the artisan crafts on offer, it has a very good restaurant and there will soon be a dog groomers.

“The Courtyard is a very accessible destination. There is a great deal of flexibility too in terms of the size of properties available, both are perfect for a variety of commercial use.”

Carter Towler currently manages over 3,500 properties for its clients nationwide and employs 50 people.
