No place like home for housebuilder colleagues across the region

Colleagues from Barratt Homes have first-hand experience of the five star housebuilder’s quality and style - after buying properties at developments across the region.

Josh McIntosh is a senior sales adviser and has put his money where his mouth is by moving into a brand new home at Filwood Park, a unique development of two, three and four bedroom homes, which is part of a multimillion pound regeneration just south of Bristol.

“I wanted to buy a new-build home because I had first-hand knowledge of the many benefits they bring - particularly their energy efficiency,” said Josh. “Fuel bills are significantly reduced, compared to a similar-sized older property. I chose Filwood Park because of its excellent location, with lots of open space surrounding it.

“Despite its peaceful setting, Filwood Park is within walking distance of a cinema, restaurants and supermarkets - in fact a whole range of local amenities. I love it here.”

Fellow sales adviser, Lydia Charge, has purchased a home at Park Farm in the market town of Thornbury. “Like many Barratt Homes developments, this one has lots of open space - and a range of homes for lots of different lifestyles,” she said. “I’m close to everything I need here - with the town’s high street close by. I work near to these impressive new-build homes almost every day, so I have in-depth knowledge of the build-quality. This was instrumental in my decision to buy my own property here.”

Another of the region’s Barratt Homes developments is White Horse View in Westbury. Home to sales adviser, Tina Macnamara, and site manager Ben Davis, this impressive site overlooks the famous White Horse, and offers spectacular views of surrounding countryside. “This is a beautiful area and I feel very lucky to call it home,” said Tina.

“The development has a mix of two, three, four and five bedroom homes - so plenty to choose from. And there is a real sense of community here. I can reach the market square - and its local shops - in just two minutes. It’s a wonderful place to live, and I recommend it to others on a daily basis.”

Ben said that as a site manager he sees the tremendous amount of work and detail that goes into creating a successful development. “This is clearly evident on all of our developments and I’m proud to own a Barratt home.”

Barratt Homes land manager, Barry Wilson, has put down roots at popular St Matthias in Fishponds. Offering a selection of two, three, four and five bedroom homes, this sought-after development has easy access to all local amenities, and is just four miles from Bristol city centre.

“As a land manager, I know exactly what goes into choosing the right location for Barratt Homes developments,” said Barry. “And this careful consideration is definitely evident here at St Matthias. It’s a superb setting.

“Like all Barratt Homes buyers, I’ve experienced the excellent service that has contributed to our five star rating for the 10th consecutive year in the annual Home Builders Federation Customer Satisfaction Survey.

“During what is often considered to be an exciting but challenging process, it’s good to know our sales advisers are standing by with help and guidance throughout.”
