Durham MBA Alumni Launch SaaS Growth Strategy Product
Three Durham University alumni and North East business leaders have created a unique software solution designed to help businesses grow.
VISMAP® is a visual map that distils MBA learning into a practical tool to guide businesses as they develop a strategy for growth.
The brainchild of Tim Waddington, Dianne Sharp and Andy Biggs, the trio joined forces after many years of building and leading successful businesses in the North East and knowing how difficult it can be to embed a strategy for growth across an organisation.
Tim Waddington, VISMAP’s Co-Founder, believes this solution will make a considerable difference in unifying teams, creating clarity and autonomy. He commented: “For businesses, particularly SME’s, to stay ahead of the competition in such uncertain times, you need a method powerful enough to create an innovative strategy but simple enough for all key stakeholders across the organisation to be fully engaged in.
“VISMAP® takes you on a journey through your business. A bit like a sat-nav, it leads a management team along the path of understanding your products and markets, to delivering a compelling competitive edge. But most importantly, it allows a team to journey together. It’s not an MD’s strategy crafted in their ivory tower and dictated to all staff. It’s a shared experience with common ownership. That is essential for effective implementation.”
The VISMAP® team are inviting six non-competing businesses to join its open programme starting this November. Delegates will experience a fast-tracked strategic journey, attending five sessions over a four-month period, and leave with not only a strategy for growth but also the software to embed it across their business.
