Local business leaders to hear from Europe and Trade Head before Brexit deadline
A ‘Navigating Brexit’ roadshow across Yorkshire and the North East is being led by the Institute of Directors’ head of Europe and trade policy Allie Renison.
As part of the IoD’s support to prepare companies for Brexit, Allie will speak at an IoD North East Business Leaders’ lunch on October 24 at the Northern Counties Club in Newcastle.
She will also join an IoD Yorkshire and North East Policy Voice Roundtable held at the same venue.
On October 25, Allie will speak with business leaders as part of an IoD ‘Ready Brex’ Business Breakfast at Rudding Park Hotel, Harrogate. Recently appointed IoD Director General Jon Geldart will also join the debate.
Allie leads on devising recommendations and representing the voice of IoD members on EU policy matters both to Westminster and Whitehall and with European institutions.
She provides the link between business and government on increasing international trade and has authored several reports on trends in both trade and trade policy.
Natalie Sykes, regional director for the IoD, said: “With so much uncertainty around the final deal or no deal with the EU, we are bringing businesses together to provide a degree of clarity at this challenging time.”
