Solmar Villas adds Tenerife to its list of destinations for the first time

One of the UK’s leading villa specialists has added Tenerife to its portfolio as part of ambitious expansion plans to build on a £25m record year.

Solmar Villas has invested over £50,000 into research, establishing supplier partnerships and marketing campaigns to launch the new destination, with a selection of high quality villas exclusively available in the popular resorts of Costa Adeje, Fanabe and Le Caleta.

It is the first time the company has offered its clients access to properties in this country and recognises its continued popularity with holidaymakers looking for hot weather, a short flight and beautiful scenery all year round.

Julie Blake, Managing Director, commented: “We are very excited to be offering our trademark properties in Tenerife and bookings for January 2020 are available immediately.

“The destination is popular with all ages and especially to families and we are expecting a lot of interest, especially if traditional sales in Lanzarote and the Canary Islands are anything to go by.”

She continued: “Laws and criteria around property rental in Tenerife are very strict so it has taken us a significant amount of time to find the right agents to work with and, importantly, the right type of villas that offer a private pool and close proximity to beaches, bars and restaurants.”

Solmar Villas currently offer around 600 exclusive properties across the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Mainland Spain, Portugal and Turkey.

The company is planning to increase sales further over the next 12 months, with Tenerife joined by Croatia and Malta on its list of destinations for 2020.

It has also become the UK’s first villa holiday specialist to offer the option of securing your villa with a low or zero deposit, allowing the customer to spread the cost over 12 months interest-free.

Julie continued: “We are always listening to our clients to find out what we can do to make their holidays better and the low or zero deposit was something they had been talking to us about for some time.

“It can be hard to budget for your break, especially when having to pay for your flights in full. This new initiative will hopefully give a little bit of breathing space and make it easier for more people to enjoy the holiday they deserve.”

She concluded: “Tenerife is an exciting destination and we will be looking to add to our exclusive products over the coming weeks, as well as continuing to grow this new destination for our clients over the forthcoming months.”

2019 will see Solmar Villas continue to expand its growing distribution network, alongside investment in its own reservation system that is geared towards API technologies.

It has also recently been announced as a finalist in a record-breaking eight categories at the British Travel Awards, including Best Family Holiday Company and Best Villa Holiday Company.
