Nim’s gets in the mood for Christmas with new range of festive crisps

Nim’s, the air-dried fruit and vegetable crisp manufacturer, has launched a limited edition range of festive crisps to celebrate the countdown to Christmas.

The Kent-based company will bring Beet & Butt, Bubble & Squeak and Brussels to its growing army of enthusiasts and, in a first for the business, these will be available in share bag size, making them ideal for sharing and parties.

Air dried, not fried, all Nim’s crisps are certified as 1 of your 5 day, making them a tasty and healthier festive snack, with the Christmas varieties available from independent retailers or online for £1.95 per bag.

• Beet & Butt – an earthy combination of beetroot and rich sweet butternut squash • Bubble & Squeak – a Christmas classic made with parsnip, beetroot and Brussels sprout crisps • Brussels – pure Brussels sprout joy

Nim’s is the brainchild of Nimisha Raja, who was becoming increasingly disenchanted by the lack of healthy snacks on offer for parents and toddlers and decided to do something about it.

She sold her coffee shop and house and ploughed all of the money into launching the UK’s only air-dried fruit crisp brand, quickly building a state-of-the-art factory that now produces 15 million packs every year.

Her products are now sold in Tesco, Waitrose, Co-Op and across hundreds of independent retailers.

Nimisha Raja, founder, commented: “Nim’s crisps are created using fruit and vegetables which have been air-dried. Our process uses no oils, chemicals or additives, just the whole fruit and veg and, as a result, we produce virtually zero food waste.

“Christmas is a great time to celebrate with friends and family so we thought we’d introduce a number of festive favourites and package them in share bags so they could be enjoyed at parties and big gatherings.

“If they prove popular we may even have to keep some of the varieties…I mean could Brussels sprouts be a big seller?”

Nim’s is an approved supplier to the NHS. Made in an environment which is certified nut free and gluten free, all products are certified vegan and Kosher.
