Female business coach expands services and finds new base with the North East BIC
A provider of business coaching services for senior leaders and executives has selected a Washington hub as a base from which to grow her company.
Angie Loraine went self-employed in 2008. However in April 2017, she launched True Life Balance UK, which provides bespoke business services including one-to-one therapy sessions, workshops, team building and mediation services.
Having always been based in the North East, Angie works at The Hub, off Crowther Road in Washington, to deliver her services. She originally had a small business space in Sunderland but moved to further her aspirations.
The Hub is part of the North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC), which is headquartered in Sunderland.
The move will support an increase in clients for True Life Balance, providing free parking and private meeting spaces to support both start up and established businesses. The centre is located less than two minutes’ drive off the A1 and A1231.
Angie said: “A large part of my job is going out and visiting businesses and working from their premises but I also have clients who come to visit me for one-to-one therapy sessions, so it was important to find an environment that was accessible and welcoming, but also private.
“Another major factor which influenced my decision was free on-site parking for my clients, access to conference and meeting room facilities, which will enable me to deliver group sessions and workshops, but also the flexibility of the tenancy.”
With a background in automotive manufacturing, Angie has obtained degrees in psychology and humanistic counselling at the University of Sunderland.
She launched True Life Balance in 2008 and has worked across manufacturing, private and public sector industries as well as the region’s universities.
Jillian Coleman, centre manager at The Hub, commented: “The Hub provides flexible managed office space allowing businesses to grow and develop ranging from one-person businesses up to 15 plus.
“We have the facilities on site to support all businesses regardless of their size and growth aspirations but it is the convenience and location of the centre which gives us that added bonus.
“Angie has already received a lot of positive feedback from clients visiting her new office and we are happy to accommodate her and support her as she grows the business.”
