GroundScope named one of only 50 ELITE ‘Future Shapers’

GroundScope, a premium global corporate transport service, has been chosen as an ELITE ‘Future Shaper’. It is one of a select group of 50 innovative companies acknowledged for disrupting their respective markets and growing financially at an extraordinary speed.

The customer-focused service enabled by state-of-the art booking technology provides transport to a robust combination of multinationals, corporates and SMEs via hundreds of fully-vetted local and international taxi firms. GroundScope is in good company as a ‘Future Shaper’, with renowned corporations in the tech, healthcare, consumer goods, finance and industrial sectors having been recognised as future market leaders as well.

ELITE, which is the London Stock Exchange Group’s international business support and capital raising programme for ambitious and fast-growing companies, helps private businesses prepare for the next phase. Of the 50 companies chosen as ‘Future Shapers’ worldwide (the programme has an overall membership of 1,000), 25 hail from the UK. GroundScope’s core aspects are its technology and customer service—no request is too far-fetched and customers can reach the team 24/7.

The company invested £3m in 2019 to continue to provide clients with world class technology and is currently developing a new online booking tool for launch in 2020. GroundScope plans to expand its service to both new direct corporate clients as well as work with an increased number of Travel Management Companies and travel partners.

GroundScope’s aim is to provide a safe, reliable and cost-effective global service bookable on mobile and online, supported by high-quality customer service. It also goes above and beyond the standard taxi service by providing, for example, ex-military drivers for high-profile clients when travelling to high-risk countries. Further, clients’ data is held in a high-secure data centre, which means business travellers can rest assured that their information is fully protected.

Speaking on being named as an ELITE ‘Future Shaper’, John McCallion, GroundScope CEO and founder, comments, “We are honoured to be selected by the ELITE community as one of its ‘Future Shapers’ and to be listed alongside a variety of high-level game changing companies across different industries.

He adds, “When we started the company in 2009, the goal was to give business travellers a structured and safe way to move around whether at home or abroad, and to provide a global booking service that is both reliable and easy to use.

“We are now planning to take GroundScope’s technology and customer service even further, and exchange learnings and advice with other entrepreneurs and companies in the programme.”

Serial travel tech entrepreneur McCallion, who was previously a founding director of Booking.com, is no stranger to booking technology and the importance of creating an online platform that works well. GroundScope released a new mobile app this summer, making the booking process simpler for customers who are always on the go.

“I think it’s that little bit extra that we put into the service, from added client security to enhanced technology, that has won us recognition with not only ELITE but our growing customer base,” McCallion continues. “We are very proud to be part of such a knowledgeable and supportive network of people, and are confident that GroundScope will continue to succeed in making clients’ journeys safe, happy and stress free.”
