Karbon Homes wins bid to support Legal & General’s affordable homes venture
Karbon Homes, one of the largest housing associations in the North East, has been selected by Legal & General Affordable Homes (LGAH) to be on its panel of management partners to help lead its housing operations in the UK.
LGAH’s carefully selected nationwide network of 14 established housing associations and providers will bring local expertise and the established infrastructure to support in delivering its pipeline of 3,500 social, affordable rental and shared ownership homes.
Karbon was selected as a successful delivery partner in the North East and Yorkshire because of its exemplary G1/V1 rating from the Regulator of Social Housing and its demonstrable commitment to deliver exceptional customer service to its customers.
Collaboration with top quality housing associations has been a key aim for LGAH as it establishes itself in the housing sector. Its new partnerships seek to offer security and a de-risked process to the panel, meaning members can focus exclusively on service delivery and resident experience.
Ben Denton, Managing Director, Legal & General Affordable Homes, said: “After a rigorous tender process, focusing on the quality and customer service offering of 140 UK-wide housing associations, we have now established an experienced panel of management partners. With residents already moving into our first schemes, this represents another milestone as we continue to pioneer the Institutional Registered Provider model. There is an urgent need to keep innovating in this sector and to provide quality, stable homes for the 1.1 million households on waiting lists in England.”
Charlotte Carpenter, Executive Director of Growth and Business Development at Karbon Homes said: “We are delighted to have been successfully chosen as one of Legal & General Affordable Homes’ delivery partners in the North East and Yorkshire.
“At Karbon we have a mission to provide people with a strong foundation for life. We aim to build better lives for our customers, not just better homes. LGAH’s values and focus on customer experience, engagement, and innovation strongly resonate with our own and we are looking forward to working with them in the future.”
