Leading architectural firm celebrates senior team member promotion
Midlands-based architecture and construction consultancy YMD Boon has announced a senior promotion at its Derby office.
Steve Day has been promoted to associate architect after joining the multi-disciplinary company just over a year ago.
With more than 25 years’ experience in the industry, Steve is also a registered architect with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and a Chartered Architect with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
In his new role, Steve will lead project teams to deliver schemes from inception through to completion and is currently involved in developing the design for the Sherwood Lodge Joint Headquarters project for Nottinghamshire Police and Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service.
Steve said: “I’m excited by this great opportunity to support and enable the talented team we have at our Derby office, in designing and delivering fantastic projects for both our existing and future clients.
“YMD Boon has vast experience and expertise across multiple sectors and we have continued to see growing demand for our services and skills this year and I look forward to helping that continue.”
Shari Setayesh, director at YMD Boon, commented: “Steve has played a significant role in the growth and success of the team here in Derby and his promotion is testament to his ongoing hard work and commitment, consistently providing excellent service to our clients.”
Steve’s senior promotion comes just weeks after YMD Boon appointed three new hires at its Derby office; welcoming senior architect Kevin Cahill and architectural technicians Ghazaleh Hajijafari and Sandeep Sian to the team.
Midlands-based firm YMD Boon has offices in Derby, Lincoln, Nottingham and Leicestershire, and provides a range of services including architecture, building surveying and project management for varying residential, commercial, educational, conservation and industrial projects nationwide.
