NGC Networks goes green with low energy lighting
Business communications specialist NGC Networks has illuminated its Wakefield offices by installing LED lighting inside and out.
The initiative, part funded by the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership via the European Resource Efficiency Fund, will reduce energy costs and boost the wellbeing of NGC’s 45-strong team.
The move reduces the carbon footprint of NGC’s Calder Park office by 5.5 tonnes of CO2 per annum. Annual power consumption will go down by 19,802 Kwh.
NGC has also invested in eye-catching, illuminated LED signage for the exterior of its headquarters building, featuring the strapline Simplifying Communications.
Dean Harrop, director at NGC Networks, said: “The new lighting is all LED, which reduces our energy costs as well as being more environmentally friendly than the system it replaces. It provides a lighter, brighter working environment for staff, which is better for the eyes and general wellbeing.”
NGC Networks provides business telecommunications and internet connectivity solutions to companies across the North of England. The company announced last month that it had grown turnover to £7 million and was targeting £10m within the next two years.
NGC has partnered with CityFibre to deliver the ultrafast full fibre connectivity to local businesses in Wakefield. NGC is also helping to deliver gigabit internet speeds to companies in Huddersfield, Leeds, Bradford, York and Hull.
The company’s expanding portfolio of clients includes Lupton Fawcett, Freeman Grattan Holdings, Harrison Spinks, Timpson, Manning Stainton, Puma UK, The Car People and Sharp Business Systems. NGC also works with academies, schools and medical centres.
NGC Networks is listed in the 2019 Northern Tech Top 100 companies.
