Double celebration for packaging company
YOUNG entrepreneurs Tom Schott and Josh Grant are celebrating the growth of their business and winning the “Entrepreneurial Spirt” award at the Best of Darlington Awards. The duo started from scratch to run a packaging company that now generates a turnover of £1million and recently increased its staff to five people as well as themselves. The idea came from the amount of unused boxes Tom’s dad’s company, Schott Removals, generated - and the pair decided to use them to start their own venture. Both firms are based at Lingfield Point in Darlington and Estate Manager Eddie Humphries was delighted by Tom and Josh’s success. “There is something really special and exciting about seeing two young men start from nothing and grow such an impressive business. “We are very proud to be part of their journey. They really do represent a business with Entrepreneurial Spirit and we wish them all the best for the future.” Tom said: “Josh and I have had an amazing journey with the company so far, and to receive this award is incredible! “We will shortly be welcoming more new staff members to the team and can’t wait to continue building and expanding in 2020.”
