DM & Co gears up for growth after director becomes shareholder
DM & Co, a rapidly growing estate agency with two West Midlands offices, is poised for further expansion after one of the directors became a shareholder within the business.
Managing director and founder Dominic Murphy has elevated sales director Craig Simmonds by handing him a significant stake in the business to mark the second anniversary of him joining the company.
Dominic said: “The growth of the business since Craig’s arrival has been phenomenal and has enabled our reputation to grow as one of the leading independent agencies in the region. In addition to this we have been able to add some brilliant strategic work that Craig and the Team are now instigating.
“Rewarding him with a share in DM & Co was an easy decision to make following such a successful two years and I am now looking forward to ploughing ahead with our ambitious growth plans in 2020 and beyond.”
Craig, former John Shepherd and Countrywide executive, added: “During my 30-year career, I’ve been fortunate to have been involved with some of the most successful businesses in the industry, and it’s a privilege to be linked with the DM & Co team, whose ethos is built around the customer experience.’’
Earlier this year, the pair launched DM & Co Premium, specialising in the sale of prestigious homes with a value of £800,000 and above in the Solihull, Knowle, Dorridge and Lapworth areas. In the first few months from launch, it has successfully completed on a number of properties with a sale value close to £20 million.
Craig will head up the Dorridge Office from 2020, as the agency takes on a new residential sales manager for the Shirley team and an additional sales consultant.
Across both of DM & Co’s offices, the agency has seen a 145% increase in volume of sales this year compared to last year, buoyed by the Premium brand.
