Influential appoints new client service director
Influential has expanded its senior team as it continues to develop its integrated service offering.
Pete Lappin, who has worked in the communications industry for more than 15 years, has joined as client services director, heading up the PR team to ensure maximum cohesion with the agency’s digital, creative and insights service lines.
With expertise in providing board-level communications advice, Pete’s background includes delivering award-winning thought leadership campaigns and creating messaging and communications strategies for brands across the built environment, professional services, and transport sectors.
His role at Influential, which has offices in Manchester, Liverpool and London, will involve him overseeing the agency’s client roster. He will work hand-in-hand with account teams to ensure cross-departmental integration and promoting a holistic approach to client briefs.
Sara Wilde-McKeown, managing director at Influential, said: “Clients are increasingly wanting – and needing – a more integrated approach to marketing and our service lines have reflected this for some time. Pete deepens the pool of strategic resource we have and will help us align our various departments to complement each other more effectively. He has high level experience and an exceptional commitment to quality.”
The 30-strong agency delivers PR and communications consultancy to a range of B2B and B2C clients including Morgan Sindall Construction, Everton FC, U+I (Mayfield), Grant Thornton, Bruntwood, Shoosmiths, Camelot, Blackpool Tower, and retail and leisure destination Liverpool ONE.
Pete said: “I know the senior team at Influential well and have been impressed by the culture of ambition and creativity that has been fostered within the agency. I’m excited to work with what is an outstanding team and to be a part of the agency’s future as we continue to ensure excellent client service sits at the heart of all of our activities.”
Pete’s appointment follows the agency’s investment its Insight team, developed to meet increasing demand for market research services. Headed up by research expert Duncan Swan, the Insight service line offers concept tests, strategic market surveys, consultations, brand health studies and customer satisfaction surveys, as increasing numbers of clients look for evidence-based insight to penetrate their markets more effectively.
