Goldfinch wins place in the top 3% of estate agents in the UK as it plans for future growth

South Tyneside-based, Goldfinch, has been placed within the top 3% of estate agents in the UK out of 25,000.

Its position in the prestigious Estate Agency Masters Awards, comes at a time of increased investment by the firm, including the appointment of Angela Todd as a company director. Angela has been with the company since it opened in 2011.

The Estate Agency Masters Awards are held every year in London and are based on eight months of mystery shopper reviews, property performance and marketing quality. Goldfinch has also received further recognition, being crowned ‘Best Estate Agency in the North East Region’ by Relocation Network Agency.

Mark Finch, Goldfinch company director, said: “This truly has been a superb year for Goldfinch at a time when a lot of high street stores are struggling and Brexit is causing uncertainty. Our success in both awards is the icing on the cake and clear evidence of the phenomenal work carried out by Angela and her teams.

“Angela has been at Goldfinch since the day we opened and knows the business inside out. She initially helped with the creation of a vision for the company and has been at the forefront, driving growth and delivering exceptional customer service. I have always viewed Angela as my business partner, so her directorship is an obvious, natural progression. She has helped to build a strong team and brand and I am looking towards 2020 with great excitement and optimism.”

Angela Todd, said: “My appointment as a director comes as we celebrate a successful year, with the summer months being particularly strong. My aim going forward is to continue growing the business and to invest in innovative, market-leading technology. “Having played a fundamental part in the launch of the company and experiencing varying levels of responsibility as we have grown, I can say this is truly a business that cares about its people and its customers.

“Like all companies, we have to continually review our operations and to plan for the future, with our teams and customers at the heart of all we do. Our headquarters has always been in South Shields and, after careful consideration, we have made the decision not to renew our tenancy at our Boldon branch, instead, investing further in advanced systems, allowing us to keep moving with changing trends.

“We will be relocating all staff members of our Boldon branch to our South Shields office, which will become the hub of the business. Our team of ten, all of whom are from South Tyneside, are united in our promise to deliver a transparent, honest service that always goes the extra mile for customers.

“Our two recent award wins are clear evidence we are doing everything we can to deliver excellent customer care, with a significant proportion of the criteria being judged by mystery shoppers, whose customer experience takes in a business, warts and all.”
