Employees at UK Container Maintenance celebrate ten years’ service
Four, long standing employees at Winsford based UK Container Maintenance have this week celebrated ten years of loyal service with the nationwide container repair and refurbishment company.
James Degville, Head Welder, Ben Connett, Director, Dereck Kidgell, Head of Machinery Maintenance and Cezary Narolewski, Truck Driver; all from the surrounding areas of Northwich and Winsford marked the impressive milestone with a celebratory, on-site team breakfast by local Knutsford catering company, The Boxx.
Truck driver Cezary Narolewski, 38, joined the company back in 2009 as a site assistant washing bins and successfully worked his way up the ladder. Over the duration of his employment, UKCM funded Cerazy’s fork lift truck and class 1 license, to help him achieve his career aspirations and follow in his father’s footsteps.
“I always wanted to be a truck driver because my Dad did it for over 40 years. UKCM has given me the opportunity to progress my career and broaden my skills. I’m delighted to be celebrating my 10 year anniversary with them,” said Cezary.
The further mark the milestone, UKCM has made a significant investment to expand their national truck fleet with the purchase of five, brand new Volvo FH 500 Globetrotters. The new generation trucks are fitted with flat screen TV’s, fridge freezers, microwaves and double beds to ensure employees enjoy superior comfort whilst out on the road.
UKCM founder and CEO, Emma Elston says, “Our drivers are out on the road for an average of three nights per week, so their comfort is imperative to us. We hope this investment ensures our loyal drivers continue to serve us for many years to come.”
The investment also follows a series of national, major contract wins which has seen UKCM significantly increase their on-site container repair visits in 2019.
