Latest Grade A offices set to boost Leeds supply market
Leeds-based Castlehouse Construction has been instructed by the Building Consultancy team at JLL Leeds on the major £3.2m refurbishment of iconic office building One Embankment on Neville Street, Leeds.
JLL is acting on behalf of clients of LaSalle Investment Management.
Castlehouse Construction has started on site on the 40-week refurbishment programme of circa 50,000 sq ft of office space to deliver six floors of Grade A accommodation.
The development will also include on-site parking for 46 cars and a unique ground floor business lounge which will add significant amenity and attraction to the building.
Richard Lumley, chairman of Castlehouse Construction, said: “We are delighted to be appointed on the major renovation of one of Yorkshire’s best known office buildings in Leeds.
“With restricted supply of first class office space in the Leeds market, when complete the newly refurbished building will offer high quality workspace for businesses of all sizes and will most certainly boost the Leeds pipeline.”
One Embankment is located at the southern gateway to Leeds city centre. The repositioning of this building, which has been vacant since 2015, could contribute to Leeds’ office supply market.
Leasing agents JLL and CBRE are speaking with potential occupiers in advance of completion of works next summer.
