Carden Park remains on top of its game

Cheshire Country Estate Carden Park has continued to prosper in 2019 with confident investment helping drive demand from business and leisure guests and is predicting even greater growth into the New Year with the opening of its new £10million purpose-built Spa next month.

Earlier in the year The Estate completed a round of investments including the £200k extensive refurbishment of the second largest conference area, the Shooting Suite which is a flexible new space for up to 150 guests as well as investment in the Golf offering with a Trackman Custom Fitting Suite.

In 2019 Carden Park has welcomed more conference and leisure sleepers than ever and a key driver of growth has been the business events sector. Much of this has been generated by repeat business from companies such as Iceland who booked Carden Park as their Charity Event Hospitality Partner for the 20th year and Global Travel Group who returned to Carden Park for their 26th annual Independence Day Conference.

Recognition for success in this area came when they were voted Cheshire’s Business Events Venue of the Year 2019 after Marketing Cheshire recognised the Estate’s excellence and outstanding achievements at its annual awards ceremony.

A mystery guest from Marketing Cheshire described the estate as “A luxury product which offers activities to suit all. The grounds and gardens are stunning. The wonderful caring and upbeat attitude of the team members truly make a visit to the hotel a memory to treasure.”

Outside of The County, the Carden Park team continued to showcase The Estate to an international audience by attending a 2-day event at Borough Market in London. This provided an opportunity to showcase the Vineyard which also attracted national attention this Autumn with film crews from the BBC and Channel 4 News broadcasting from the grape harvest.

Across the year Carden Park has taken steps to become more sustainable and to protect all areas of the 1000-acre environment. This has led to initiatives such as replacing throwaway cups with mugs in all the business suites and water is now provided in glass bottles.

In 2020, plans are in place to introduce Brita filtered water stations across the hotel for both business and leisure guests and future plans are in place to move to energy efficient lighting too.
