Santa's Back to School!
High-performing primary school, St Peter & St Pauls on Pilkington Street in Bolton has had its annual visit from Santa as Headmistress Trish Grogan explained, “We are very fortunate that one of the school’s former pupils is a highly successful businessman who supports us in a number of ways”.
And one of those ways is through Santa, who comes each year, laden with a gift for every child, donated by the Swansway Honda Bolton and Motor Match car dealerships in the town.
The school’s former pupil, Michael Smyth, founded RRG Group in the town in 1967; he’s since built up, bought and sold a number of businesses and now owns award-winning Swansway Motor Group, which turns over £3/4 billion, employing 1,300 staff. Trish added, “Michael proves to our pupils that with hard work, determination and belief, anything is possible”.
“The Christmas presents that Swansway give the children every year are so very much appreciated, by pupils and staff alike”.
The two dealerships also delivered Christmas presents to the Endeavour Project in Bolton which supports families dealing with domestic violence and abuse, offering a safe haven for children who are affected by abuse in their home.
