Housebuilder’s head office turns into Santa’s grotto!
Barratt Developments’ Yorkshire West divisional staff have taken on the role of Santa’s elves again this December by taking part in the KidsOut ‘Giving Tree’ initiative to support disadvantaged children.
The housebuilder’s regional head office in Morley, Leeds, has been turned into a festive grotto as the collection point for local businesses in the region to donate Christmas gifts to the cause.
The ‘Giving Tree’ supports the charity KidsOut, which aims to continuously make a difference to disadvantaged children and provide presents to those not fortunate enough to receive them every year. In the lead up to Christmas, decorative tags were placed on a tree at Barratt Developments Yorkshire West’s head office, with a child’s name, age and suggested gift written on, employees were then encouraged to choose a gift tag from the ‘Giving Tree’ and buy a present for a child.
Ian Ruthven, Managing Director at Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, commented: “We are delighted to show out support to KidsOut again this year. The ‘Giving Tree’ initiative is a wonderful idea and it’s fantastic that we’re able to team up with other local businesses to give back and help the charity gift a number of children in the area. I’m really proud of the staff at Barratt Developments Yorkshire West getting behind this great cause once again to spread festive cheer across our region.”
