Engineering firm expands with Northumberland Business Park building acquisition
Avison Young and their joint agents MJM Commercial acting on behalf of Gladman Developments have secured a freehold sale on Northumberland Business Park.
The purchaser Merit, a specialist engineering and construction company are an existing occupier on the park, having previously bought 3 Silverton Court back in 2009.
The company has expanded and required larger premises, but rather than relocate, purchased the freehold interest and expand into a larger building at the business park.

Unit 8 Silverton Court comprises 10,070 sq ft of detached office accommodation on the Northumberland Business Park, which as well as housing numerous companies also offers excellent nearby amenities including hotel, restaurant and retail facilities.
Romy Silvers, commercial property director at Gladman, said: “It is most encouraging to secure two deals in the last quarter of 2019 at Northumberland Business Park, totaling in excess of 20,000 sq ft.
“Merit has purchased a second building on the Business Park to accommodate the expansion of their business.”
