Newcastle tech company expands following 2019 growth
IT company Activ Technology plans further expansion following growth with annual revenue up 15 per cent and profit by 36 per cent.
Formed in 2010, Activ Technology is a managed service provider for IT and telecommunications across the North of England, Cumbria and Scotland.
In keeping with its plans for expansion, the company employs over 30 staff and has recently opened a new office in Dumfries, Scotland, which has also made a number of key appointments in recent months, including Leon Hughes as head of technology and Carol Logan as business development manager.
Last year, Activ Technology also acquired chartered surveyor and property consultants youngsRPS for the company.
Managing director Ian Gillespie said: “2019 was our busiest year yet and while January is traditionally a quiet month for a lot of businesses, we are full steam ahead. We are thrilled by the figures from last year and feel it is a very clear indicator that our development strategy is working.
“Our sales team is set to increase in size this year as we put growth at the centre of our plans for 2020 and we expect to be announcing a number of new key appointments in the coming months.
“The team is very close knit and deliver strong results in everything they do. As we continue to grow at an exponential rate, we will not dilute the quality of our staff.
“It is a very exciting time for Activ Technology and we foresee continued growth across all our divisions this year. Our rapidly expanding, dedicated team and growing number of fantastic clients means we are in the very best position to make 2020 another strong year.”
