Northern steakhouse to expand into Yorkshire's Flemingate centre
An independently-owned restaurant chain is set to open a new venue in Beverley later this year.
Tomahawk Steakhouse has six locations across the North East and North Yorkshire, and is planning to open its newest restaurant in the Flemingate centre in March.
The Flemingate centre is the area’s largest regeneration scheme, owned and developed by Hull-based regeneration company Wykeland Group.
Since opening three years ago, the centre has attracted major brands to Beverley, meaning Tomahawk will be joining retailers such as Jack Wills, Hotel Chocolat and The White Company.
David Donkin, Wykeland’s property director, said: “We’re excited that Tomahawk Steakhouse is joining the Flemingate family and will add to the many reasons to visit and enjoy the centre.
“Tomahawk has an excellent reputation for the quality of the dining experience it offers to customers and is a great fit for Flemingate and Beverley.
“Tomahawk’s current and planned restaurants are all in thriving Northern cities and towns, so the decision to open in Beverley is yet another great vote of confidence in the town.
“It also means Flemingate is now almost 100 per cent occupied, so we’re very much bucking the high street trends.”
Tomahawk is also planning further expansion, with venues expected to open in York, Harrogate and Wilmslow.
