Jesmond development for ‘young retirees’ appoints selling agent
A residential redevelopment of a former high school will soon go on sale, following the appointment of a selling agent by the estate’s developer.
Sanderson Young will now act as the sole agent for Pegasus on the development at the former Central High School site on Eskdale Terrace in Jesmond, which is being transformed into 63 high quality apartments targeted at the over 60s.
Part of the Lifestory Group, this is Pegasus’ first speciality residential scheme in the North East of England.
Tolent Construction are appointed as contractors on the Jesmond development, and expect to complete on the scheme by autumn 2020. The properties all offer a high standard of finish, undercroft parking and views over Newcastle.
There is also onsite support from a general manager and host, communal private lounge, social kitchen area and guest suit.
Duncan Young, the Chairman of Sanderson Young, said: “We are all very excited about the imminent launch of this development of new homes, which effectively creates a private club for the young retired community in Newcastle, and those looking for homes in such a magnificent location.
“Our company will be appointing a dedicated sales team to look after the site and we hope to have a show apartment available by the early Summer.
“There are so many unique factors being created with these beautiful homes and I imagine that for those people of 60 years and above, it will create something extremely special within the North of England and not available on any other site.”
