Commercial Property Partners LLP (CPP), has secured Ascott Transport Limited (ATL) as a new tenant at Centrum 100, a successfully established business and distribution estate in Burton Upon Trent, acting as joint agents with McGuiness Waddington Real Estate (MWRE).
Acting on behalf of the landlord Custodian REIT, CPP agreed terms with the Derbyshire-based business during the period of administration of the outgoing occupier. ATL employs over 200 staff, with the 92,672 sq ft warehouse premises meeting their warehousing and distribution needs for existing and prospective contracts.
The property is of a good grade specification benefitting from seven dock level access doors, five ground level access doors, warehouse lighting, and is situated in a prominent location with excellent transport links across the Midlands region. Current occupiers on the site include Boots, DHL, Clipper Logistics, Palletforce and Argos.
Sean Bremner, Partner at CPP said: “We are very pleased to have secured a new tenant at the site so quickly. Working proactively, we arranged numerous viewings on the property demonstrating the confidence in the region and a genuine demand for modern warehouse space in this location. ATL are a well-recognised logistics operator and we expect them to be an excellent tenant to our client.”
Nick Waddington, Partner at MWRE commented: “This letting to ATL underlines the ongoing strong demand for well-located distribution and logistics space in the Midlands”
