JWS Waste and Recycling Services awarded Platinum Accreditation

JWS Waste and Recycling Services, the Manchester based waste management company, has become the first of its kind to receive ConstructionLine’s Platinum Accreditation. This prestigious recognition sets the business at the forefront of waste and recycling innovation, in the North West and beyond.

With sustainability and how we’re disposing of waste becoming such a critical talking point, the award positions JWS as a leader in finding solutions to an ever-growing issue.

ConstructionLine - originally a government-run scheme, but now operated by Warburg Pincus – rigorously assesses a range of business criteria before awarding the accreditation. This includes operational processes such as health and safety, environmental aspects and human resources.

The sought-after Platinum title determines the capability of businesses to carry out a project to the highest standard in competency and safety. More than 8,000 procurement professionals and 2,500 buying organisations refer to ConstructionLine to source their contractors and consultants.

Peter Andrew, Managing Director at JWS, said: “If achieving the accreditation wasn’t already enough, being the first waste management company in the UK to receive the honour is absolutely fantastic.

“At JWS, we pride ourselves on always thinking ahead when it comes to sustainability, innovation and reliability. Our staff are our greatest asset, and prioritising their health, safety and wellbeing is at the top of our agenda. We’re overjoyed that this has been recognised with the ConstructionLine Platinum Accreditation.

“In the future, we look forward to being known as the company that clients come to when they’re looking for a higher standard of service, and a greater command of compliance.” JWS operates in Greater Manchester and the North West. Its portfolio includes a range of high-profile clients, from airports, football clubs, major construction companies and one of the UK’s largest shopping centres.
