Dynamic Diamond Group looks forward to 2020
The future is looking bright for a North East technology solutions provider after a year of growth.
Staff at Diamond Group, which is based on the Team Valley Trading Estate in Gateshead, celebrated a 25 per cent increase in turnover in 2019, with all profits being reinvested into the firm.
The company, which offers IT solutions and telecoms equipment as well as printers, photocopiers and furniture, along with operational support and people resourcing services, has invested heavily in technology over the past 12 months, as well as taking on four members of staff.
Managing director John Burns said: “We had an excellent year in 2019, which I put down to the hard work of all the team, as well as offering new technology, such as document management software and multi-function printing devices, and a broader, more bespoke range of services.
“We also launched our office furniture division which proved successful, and we’re looking forward to rolling the service out further over the coming year.”
Staff at the firm have also seen increased demand from clients for cloud-based solutions and broadband services.
ICT director Colin Grant said: “We have made great strides with our cloud computing offering over the past 12 months, added new servers and Storage Area Network technology to accommodate the demand for hosting from our customers.
“We have a number of premium clients in our portfolio who demand high availability from their hosting services and the feedback from them has been outstanding, not just with regards to the hosting but also the customer service and support given by the Diamond team.
“This year will see more investment in our cloud services and in our staff to ensure that we can continue to expand and provide the service levels that our customers have come to expect.”
Over the next year, Mr Burns said he aimed to increase the Diamond Group’s turnover as well as targeting new clients of all sizes, such as schools and emerging businesses.
He added: “In the long term, we want to grow the business to three times the size it is today, create a number of new jobs, and establish ourselves as the number one solutions provider for customer service in all our fields.”
