Construction company builds on success with new 30 home contract
A North East construction company has been contracted to build 30 new homes in Gateshead.
Brims Construction, which is currently carrying out £7m refurbishment of Neville Hall in Newcastle city centre, was awarded the contract by Bede Homes.
The 30 new family homes will be at a £9m development at Bill Quay in Gateshead.
Bede Homes managing director, Joe Docherty, commented: “Brims have a long established and respected reputation within the North East construction sector and for delivering quality.
“That was so important for us because building quality family homes in great locations is at the forefront of everything we do.”
Brims Construction director Richard Wood said: “Whilst we are probably more well known for our commercial work, we have carried out residential projects for a number of years now and the chance to work with Bede Homes and their team is most welcome.
“It’s an excellent scheme and we hope this leads on to further work with Bede as they continue to deliver housing across the region.”
