The Marketing Centre broadens its expertise to meet the needs of the region

  • Andy Chadbourne and Helen Keefe appointed to the north west team to drive further business growth –

The Marketing Centre is responding to an increasing demand from SME’s looking to invest in strategic marketing by adding a breadth of talent to its team in the north west with its latest appointees, Andy Chadbourne and Helen Keefe. With Julie Brook leading the north west regional team, Andy and Helen, through their roles as part-time marketing directors, will be working with local businesses who are seeking access to professional, experienced marketing advice and support. They bring a wealth of experience between them, including tech experience; a skillset that will enable the team to accommodate the growing needs of a region where the fintech industry is seeing unprecedented growth. The Marketing Centre, a nine-year old business with 90+ part-time marketing directors across the UK, has pioneered the concept of providing ambitious and growing SMEs with access to part-time marketing directors with a proven track record of delivering significant impact. The concept gives small and mid-size businesses in-house access to the knowledge, passion and experience required to build and develop a company at a seniority level that many companies cannot afford on a full-time basis. The Marketing Centre’s stringent selection process means that only the best marketing directors are selected. Andy has over 20 years’ global experience in product and service marketing and a strong track record of helping ambitious businesses grow. His career has included board-level roles in large organisations, a tech start-up and 2 start-ups of his own. For the last 2 years he has run a successful marketing consultancy, where he has been involved in a range of strategic marketing projects with private businesses and the University of Manchester, where he also lectured in marketing and market research to final year PhD students. Andy says, “I’m delighted to be part of The Marketing Centre’s north west team and looking forward to introducing more tech businesses into the family. I’ve had the privilege to work with some amazing companies on a project basis, but the unique longer-term, part-time model of The Marketing Centre and the amazing network of fellow professionals really appealed to me and I can’t wait to get started.” Helen is a highly experienced commercial Marketing Director with knowledge of a diverse range of sectors, including technology, software, consumer and business electronics, public and third sector and travel and transport. Helen has worked at executive level in large corporates and smaller organisations and brings a varied and transferable skill set to B2B and B2C businesses. Helen has proven she is able to deliver outstanding results at pace and has helped many businesses achieve high growth in challenging and competitive markets. These include Manchester Airport Group, Sage Software, LEGO, Sharp Electronics, Manchester Metropolitan University and Manchester City Council. Helen says, “I am passionate about helping organisations in the region to succeed. Joining the Marketing Centre is a further opportunity for me to share my 25 years’ strategic marketing experience with north west SMEs and help them exceed their business goals.” Julie Brook, regional director for the North West comments: “I am delighted to have Andy and Helen joining the Marketing Centre. There are many tech businesses in the north west region that are scaling up and need a marketing professional to help drive growth. With Andy and Helen on board, we have the ability to work with even more businesses in the region to help build growth and profitability for their shareholders.”
