WBD wins Legal 500 award for real estate
Law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has been recognised for its expertise in Real Estate in the 2020 Legal 500 awards – winning the Real Estate Firm (outside London) of the year. The Real Estate award covers expertise in commercial property, construction, planning and environment, property litigation and social housing. WBD Partners Claire Brook and Nigel Emmerson, who is based in Newcastle, attended the ceremony.
The firm was also shortlisted for Transport, Finance and Human Resources awards, all areas where it advises international, national and regional clients.
The Legal 500 awards, which recognise excellence in the legal profession, follow the publication of the Legal 500 directory, a leading guide to law firms in the UK. The winners were decided following in-depth research and conversations with some 250,000 in-house lawyers.
In this year’s Legal 500 publication, WBD was recommended in 93 practice areas including 34 as a top tier firm. 42 of WBD’s lawyers were also listed as ‘leading lawyers’ with a further 159 individuals recommended across the UK.
