From Kitchen Table to Board Room Table

The North Tyneside Business Forum is inviting businesses to learn about growth from leading entrepreneurs, funders and renowned experts at an event that could change the way that challenges are overcome and aspirations raised.

“Metamorphosis” is the Forum’s Showbiz 2020 keynote event on Thursday, 26 March at the Village Hotel Silverlink. (8.30am until noon) The event will give businesses irrespective of size, the opportunity to hear from and network with, big time home-grown North Tyneside businesses as well as local start-ups.

The event will feature a keynote speech from Dragon’s Den stars’ Oatein, who secured a £50,000 investment from entrepreneur Peter Jones to grow their UK operation making health snacks including protein bars, brownies and flapjacks. Company founder Andy Dixon will recall his experience of the TV show as well as the Whitley Bay firm’s route to growth which included receiving invaluable assistance from Scale Up North East.

The event will also feature interviews with Forum management group members, Wubbleyou and Andrew Esson, together with Quorum Business Park-based firm; Connect Health. Case studies from small businesses Love Electrics and Mint Communications will also give an insight into how businesses of any size can get the right help and support. There will also be networking opportunities with providers from all stages of growth with The Business Factory, Scale Up North East, the North East Fund and Invest North Tyneside.

The event will be hosted by founder of Newcastle Start Up Week, Paul Lancaster.

The event is free to North Tyneside based businesses and £10 for others.
