Independent retailer diversifies
Independent retailer to open new business
An independent retailer branching out into an adjacent outlet to launch a new venture is the owner of Kevin Junior Barbers in Broadheath, Altrincham
Kevin Barry who runs a successful barbers business at 14 Woodfield Road is diversifying by taking over No 12 to open ‘The Sunbed Shop’ a tanning centre.
He has agreed a three year lease on the 500 sq ft premises at a rent of £7,000 per annum.
Kevin Barry, Proprietor, said: “I had already perceived a demand for a tanning centre in this area and with the next door unit becoming vacant it seemed an opportunity to good to miss”.
Daniel Lee, director, Regional Property Solutions, who acted for the landlord, a private individual, said: “It is always good to see local retailers expanding, a double in this case, as the previous occupier, an independent beauty salon established only two years ago, has expanded and moved around the corner reflecting the success of this local parade in attracting its surrounding residents”.
