Emley success sees Hortor sign extended sponsorship agreement
Hortor, the global strategic resourcing specialist with UK headquarters in Leeds, has agreed to extend its year-round sponsorship of Emley AFC to support the club in what has become an epic battle to secure a place at the top of the league.
Playing in the Division One North of the North West Counties League, Emley AFC has surpassed all expectations with the progress made this season and the Club is now fighting to be in contention for automatic promotion.
Hortor became a permanent fixture at Emley AFC’s home ground at the start of the season after striking a deal to sponsor the first team’s home kit, shed-end stand hoardings and take a prominent position at the club’s popular café – the Dugout Diner, which has since been referred to as the Hortor Dugout Diner.
As a consequence of this successful partnership, Hortor is extending its support from the side-lines to the pitch in an effort to help the Club to continue its successful run in the second half of the season and beyond.
Joint CEO of Hortor, Andy Nicholson, comments: “The impressive and consistent performance of Emley AFC has been inspirational to watch and only strengthened our relationship with the Club, not just on the field but off it as well.
“With the local community coming out in droves to show their support, we are extremely proud to partner with an organisation that shares our values and strives to make a positive impact whenever possible.
“Understanding what promotion will mean to the supporters, players, coaches and everyone else involved at the Club, we are extending our sponsorship with Emley to ensure the season finishes on a high whatever the score!”
Emley Club Chairman, Andrew Painten, comments: “To have a sponsor like Hortor behind us is a huge boost for the Club. Their additional support allows us to make a couple of extra key additions to the squad to help us finish as high as possible in the league table.
“In addition to securing Hortor’s sponsorship at the beginning of the year, we also hired a new management team and were given a new name. There have been many firsts here at Emley this season, but nothing would be greater than securing promotion after our first season in the Division One North of the North West Counties League.”
