Emma celebrates 25 years with Persimmon
An experienced sales secretary from Chippenham is celebrating 25 years with one of the UK’s leading housebuilders.
Emma McKenzie has been a valued member of the Persimmon Homes Wessex team for a quarter of a century.
Emma, 43, started her Persimmon career as a secretary in the surveying department at the age of 18 and then moved on to sales, where she has been ever since.
Emma, married to Adam and mother to 18-year-old Emily, said: “When I was 18, I wanted to join the police force. I applied for a local job until I could apply to the force, but 25 years later, I’m still here.
“Working for Persimmon Homes has proved a good career for me, and hopefully that has worked both ways.
“I can honestly say that I have loved working at Persimmon over the last quarter of a century and with a great team at Wessex. Everyone gets on well and we help each other out where we can – it’s a great working environment.
“My sales team is fantastic, and I have met some great people during my time at Persimmon, some of whom I can say will truly be lifelong friends.”
Pauline Fletcher, sales and marketing director, said: “Emma is a genuinely lovely person and a real credit to the business.
“To clock up more than 25 years is a real achievement and is testament to Emma’s character and we’d all like to send our congratulations on her long service.”
