Construction work underway on apartment scheme in Manchester
Construction work has commenced on a mixed-use development on Bengal Street in the Ancoats area of Manchester.
The scheme is being developed by Northern Group and will provide high-quality office space across the ground, first and second floor of the building, 75 apartments from the third to the eighth floor, being complemented by a shared roof top terrace and basement level parking.
MAC Construction Consultants have been appointed as Quantity Surveyors on the project; currently overseeing the piling, groundworks, drainage, and frame packages of the development which are being carried out as a single package by Contractor JRL.
Alex Laycock, Director at MAC Construction Consultants commented: “Thanks to the hard work of the wider professional team, work is now underway on the formerly disused site at Bengal Street.
“Having successfully completed a number of residential schemes in Ancoats, and across the North of Manchester, the MAC team is delighted to be appointed on this project.”
