Artificial grass is donated to Nightingale Hospital to provide break-out areas in support of keyworker mental health

Namgrass, which has been supplying artificial grass to businesses and consumers for over 30 years has today announced that it will be donating its new turf ‘Whitby’ to the Nightingale Hospital which on Tuesday evening opened its doors to its first patients.

In a bid to support NHS workers needing a space to gather their thoughts, take a well-deserved break or check in on friends and family, Namgrass has donated over 100m2 of artificial grass to the Nightingale Hospital to help create much needed break-out areas during the crisis.

The donation comes after frontline and social care workers expressed concern over the mental health of their co-workers. Following these concerns the NHS has launched a COVID-19 support line for all key workers bravely tackling this pandemic. Namgrass’ donation hopes to create a space for workers to relax and take a moment for themselves during what is an incredibly demanding and high-risk role at this time.

Jared Gardner, Sales Director at Namgrass, commented: “Everyone here at Namgrass recognises the amazing work carried out by frontline medics, and we hope that by supporting this life-saving hospital we are able to play a small part in helping the NHS during the COVID-19 pandemic. We can’t thank the NHS heroes enough for what they’re doing for us at this time.”
