Ground-breaking new climate control risk analysis service led by D-Risk

D-Risk Group Ltd (“D-Risk”) alongside Airbus Defence and Space Ltd have announced plans to support financial institutions and commercial real estate operators with a state of the art climate risk analysis service. This ground-breaking data intelligence will assess the impact of climate change on lending decisions and future-proof environmental risk reviews for properties.

As part of this innovative new service D-Risk and Airbus Defence and Space Ltd have worked on a developmental pilot with RBS Group. Airbus’ Geospatial Mapping Portal is a new pilot which maps flood risk against residential properties in the UK and calculates the physical risks to properties now and as global temperatures change in the future using data from the UK Climate Change Risk Assessment 2017 and UK Climate Projections 2009.

D-Risk is part of a market leading consortium that includes CLS Data Ltd. D-Risk is leading the way in meeting industry demands for a one stop shop offering proactive climate change risk assessment data intelligence and the pilot with RBS Group is one example of the work being carried out. D-Risk and Airbus Defence and Space Ltd are offering a new holistic, 360 degree data analysis of land asset risk. The service is unique because it uses the latest state of the art technology to provide bespoke property data about climate related financial risks. This supports lenders and commercial real estate with their risk management strategies. D-Risk’s team of highly experienced risk management and financial professionals enhance the data findings by also providing invaluable expertise and insight.

Andrew Pullman, Managing Director at D-Risk explains:

“The identification of potential flood areas is becoming increasingly important as we see increasing changes in our climate. We are delighted to team up with RBS Group to pilot the Airbus Geospatial Mapping Portal which identifies flood risks against commercial properties in the UK. Climate change is a global challenge that is very high on the political and economic agenda. The recent flooding experienced across the UK demonstrates even more so the importance of financial organisations having the right tools to forward plan and assess the real risks with greater confidence. We aim to provide financial organisations and properties with a detailed picture of risks that can help them to identify with confidence the potential impact of weather extremes. This helps them to provide appropriate solutions to support commercial properties across the UK.

This is a very exciting time for the team as we launch this ground-breaking risk data intelligence service which will benefit financial institutions and properties across Great Britain. We are offering advanced data intelligence which is extremely powerful thanks to its accuracy and delivery. We believe it provides the best intelligent diligence available, backed by the knowledge and experience of our highly trained team.“
