Salford cyber security firm to offer identity management software to clients
A Salford-based cyber security company, specialising in protecting firms from data breaches, has bolstered the service it offers to clients, by partnering with identity management software firm, Ubisecure.
IDP Cyber was formed in July 2019 by CEO Richard Heyes and CTO Mick Tennent – who has over 20 years’ cyber security experience in senior roles at Symantec and Deloitte. The firm protects SMEs’ and large enterprises’ data from the threat of hackers and works with clients in the finance, pharmaceutical and legal sectors.
Its partnership with Ubisecure will provide IDP’s customers with a robust identity management system, helping to recognise and manage users of their software, such as staff, customers and stakeholders.
Ubisecure’s technology is deemed an important tool across all sectors, not least in critical industries, such as healthcare and finance, where unauthorised access to data can prove disastrous.
The software reduces the need for repeat logins, while offering password-less login, 3rd party identity providers, identity proofing, delegated authority, federation, identity data directory and more.
IDP’s clients will therefore benefit from a drastic reduction in errors made by manual processes, as well as increases in efficiency and user experience, whilst mitigating data breaches.
The offering has now been rolled out to IDP’s client base, following an intensive internal training programme through Ubisecure’s IAM Academy event series.
Richard commented: “Since founding IDP Cyber, Mick and I have remained focussed on our commitment to delivering the very best level of service to clients. The security of our clients’ assets is our number-one priority, and the implementation of Ubisecure’s technology is a genuine coup for our clients as we drive innovation, quality and value.”
Jonathan Clark, VP of Channel & Alliances at Ubisecure, said: “CIAM is a critical component and key enabler to any enterprise’s cyber security strategy. We are delighted to be working alongside such an experienced partner as IDP Cyber, bringing expertise in our respective identity domains together to collaborate on first-rate full-scale identity solutions for customers.”
